ABOUT PATTY CARLSON
Patty Carlson composed and produced music for films broadcast on PBS, ABC and Turner Broadcasting for over twelve years. Predominantly self taught, the music Patty composed and produced was performed by members of the Oakland Symphony, the Denver Symphony, the Aspen Chamber Orchestra, the world famous blue grass band “Hot Rize”, jazz saxophonist Bryan Savage, Windham Hill artists Alex deGrassi (classical guitar) and Jamii Szmadzinski (electric violinist), Randy Chavez (electric guitar), just to name a few of the talented musicians Patty has worked with and performed with professionally. In the mid 1980’s, Patty began teaching the Numeric Language of Music. Patty’s unique understanding of music as a defined mathematical language of structural form and motion.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
“It’s a new frontier of unlimited exploration of the relationship between music and the brain. I realized the Numeric Language of Music® program I was teaching behaved similar to code, a clearly defined yet incredibly simplistic mathematical language to which the circuitry of the human brain responded. It’s as if introducing the fundamentals of the Numeric Language of Music was turning the brain on to function in significantly advanced cognitive and remedial capacity performance. Once activated, within a reasonably short amount of time, it appeared the brain began to “heal itself” as I observed the reversal of symptoms in clients with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and long term stroke disability.
